Inauguration Day!

Hi all,
Today I watched all of the Inauguration activites on the TV. I was a total couch potato. I watched steadily from 7:15 to about 2:30. I saw the swearing in and the parade. It was quite spectacular. The crowds were unbelievably big. They were talking numbers of 1-2 million. Other than the swearing-in mistakes of the Chief Justice and Obama it went well. His speech was great.
Only activity I did today was get up and do the 5:45am X-bike XX class. I think I might go to this class regularly now. I bowed out of doing volunteer work at the library on Wed. from 3:30-5:30. It was kind of a waste of my time (although I have plenty of time) because kids never showed up. I think I will fill the time with going to a 4:30 X_bike class.
I signed Andy and myself up for a bike tour in June. We have done it twice before when we were single and then the second time when we were just married (2000). It is called Sierra to the Sea and it covers 460 miles with an average of 60 miles per day but the first day is 80 miles! It was a lot of fun the two times we did it before. So, now we have to start training hard to get in good shape for the tour. We also have to check out our sleeping bags and our pimple tent to make sure they are all intact and usable.
Nothing else really new. My 50th birthday is coming up on Friday Jan. 23. So far I have not ventured into a depression over it. I think I have some goals I would like to achieve. Do a triathalon, do some 65 mile bike rides, Sierra to the Sea (where it isn't painful for me) and do another 1/2 marathon. Maybe a marathon the following year.
That's it for me.
Clyde
